This is a two-year project to establish a unique Scottish Deaf Youth Association (SDYA) that will bring together and support young British Sign Language (BSL) users. The SDYA will establish a training programme to address the acute shortage of qualified deaf youth workers in Scotland. The grant will pay for the salary of a new, full-time Youth Development Officer plus volunteer costs, events, resources and youth worker training costs.
