The purpose of the Kent Remembers project is to help pupils: understand the importance of the Second World War and the sacrifices made by all those who lived through the conflict; understand the significance of commemoration and what people were fighting for. The project will involve intergenerational activities and schools will be able to choose from a menu of activities from oral history to visits with veterans to sites abroad. The testimony and responses of pupils will be recorded on a website.
