Project overview
This project will be delivered over 18 months at HMP Leyhill, South Gloucestershire. It aims to offer every prisoner over the age of 65, and those over 50 with complex needs, a personal plan covering appropriate support services and arrangements for key transitional stages. These include the move to the open prison environment from a closed one, preparing for release or preparing for end-of-life in custody. The project additionally aims to develop a peer-group network to improve skills and confidence.
