Bagworth is a former mining village that has lost its primary school, businesses, churches, meeting places and 200 houses due to subsidence. Over half the village now consists of houses built within the last eight years and more are planned. The Parish Council aims to refurbish the Bagworth Community Centre to provide a high quality, sustainable facility to enable local residents to access services, activities, a local shop and community café to meet the needs of everyone and increases community cohesion.
