The Bagworth Community Centre will be refurbished to provide a high quality, sustainable facility that will enable local residents to access services, activities, a community café and a social meeting place. Bagworth is a former mining village that has lost its primary school, businesses, both churches and 200 houses, due to subsidence. The only pub burnt down and was demolished. Half of the village now consists of houses built within the last eight years, with more proposed but with few facilities.
