A Child's Eye-View of Informal Kinship Care: Experiences and Outcomes
A Child's Eye-View of Informal Kinship Care: Experiences and Outcomes - Project
This England-wide project, in partnership with Bristol University, will aim to understand more about the needs of children brought up in kindship arrangements with relatives or friends, and what would improve their circumstances. Estimates put the number of informal kinship carers at 200,000 to 300,000. To understand the experience of growing up in informal kinship care, a sample of 80 children and their carers will be drawn and face to face interviews conducted separately with carers and children.
