The Chester-le-Street Methodist Church's (CLSMC) 'Cornerstones' Project will replace the older of their two community buildings. The existing 1870 hall and ancillary rooms will be demolished and a new two-storey structure erected on the same footprint. Fully accessible to all, the new space will offer services to residents of the County Durham town such as a carers support group, listening service, employment training and youth activities. Up to 2,000 people per week using the facilities will benefit.
