This project will research sexual abuse and vioence to determine: Actual prevalence, since current figures are only "the tip of the iceberg"; Public perception, beliefs and attitudes; Consequences, experiences and effects on individuals, families and communities; Similarities and differences in the experiences of marginalised people; Demand for services and the most effective types; Barriers in accessing services; Different preventative measures. A large UK telepone and onlinv survey will be conducted.
