The aim of the project is to improve young people's learning and enthusiasm for PE and Sport in 30 schools in Southend. More than 1500 children will participate in activities including swimming camp, which will increase self esteem and confidence, improve skills and performance in school and raise standards in swimming during the school holidays. The programme of activities also looks to increase physical activity rates and behaviour at lunchtimes and also get the older secondary pupils more active and fit.
