Project overview

This group aims to support and empower people experiencing mental health problems and emotional distress, and to develop a comprehensive mental health service for the local community. An award will help them to set-up a pilot project for a new Carers Support Service. This facility will offer extensive, therapeutic support to carers of people with mental health problems and will include monthly support meetings, one-to-one counselling sessions and a telephone advice lines.
