Little Lounge Community Play Café Development Pontypridd - Project

Project overview

Project Summary : The project will create a community hub that will facilitate and promote health and wellbeing activities. The group plans to expand the existing Little Lounge project from weekly baby group sessions into a permanent play café with a multi-sensory outdoor play area. The project will be open six days a week, creating a local hub for young families to engage with one another, enjoy affordable healthy food and access a range of positive experiences and activities otherwise unavailable to them. They will run a variety of classes and workshops from the Café including parenting courses, Welsh language play sessions, healthy eating/food preparation on a budget, art/music/movement sessions and a mental health support group. The grant, over one year, will fund the development fees in relation to the capital works and running costs.
