Dementia Empower and Support Project - Project

Project overview

The four-year project is using a £458,393 grant to run activities to bring together people with early stage dementia to help each other to come to terms with the diagnosis, get involved in their communities, and rebuild confidence. The project also supports families and carers, and signposts them to other services. The project is developing Empowerment Groups for members to support each other, contribute to consultations and research, and take part in external events, and awareness-raising.
