Project overview

The funding enabled Big Ideas to extend two strands of their work. Remember Together is a WW1 centenary programme, empowering grassroots community groups to champion overlooked history within the WW1 centenary and to offer a community voice within national commemoration. Sorrow's Burden commemorates the impact of bereavement in WW1 with a central focus on mothers who lost one or more sons to the war. The funding allowed this work to be extended to community groups in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
