When you apply

If you are a good fit for funding, you will be sent a link to the application form by email.

If you need communication support

If it’s difficult or impossible for you to apply online, let us know. We can offer other ways to apply, such as:

  • an Easy Read version of the form and guidance

  • a form that works offline

  • another accessible format

If you have any communication support needs, contact us.

What you’ll need to apply

You can see a full list of questions from the application form.

We’ll ask for:

  • the legal name of your organisation

  • its address

  • the type of organisation it is

  • any registration numbers (for example, charity or company numbers)

Please check these details carefully. Incorrect information will delay your application.

References to 'project' in our application form

In the application form, you’ll see the word ‘project’ used.

As this is development funding and not project funding, fill in ‘Development of [your organisation name]’ when asked about your project. That is what we are hoping to fund.

When you’re asked about how your project benefits your community

There’s a section about understanding more about how your project or work benefits your community. These questions are related to project-specific funding and our missions.

If you are unsure of how to answer these questions in relation to this development funding, select answers that best represent the kind of projects you have previously developed and delivered.

This information will be used to understand your organisation’s work.

Information about your organisation’s finances

We’ll ask you to:

  • upload 12-month projections if your organisation is less than 15 months old

  • tell us your total income and expenditure for the year

Information about your team

You’ll need to give us the names, contact details, home addresses and dates of birth for 2 people in your organisation. They must:

  • have separate email addresses

  • live in the UK

  • not be related

One should be the main contact who we can talk to about the project, and the other a senior person who’s legally responsible for the funding.

What we mean by related

We consider people to be related if they:

  • are married or in a civil partnership

  • are in a long-term relationship

  • live together at the same address

  • are related by blood

  • are related through a long-term partner
