Requirements for using our logo
How to display our logo
You must use our logo to show that players of The National Lottery have supported your project. You should put the logo somewhere visible. For example, you can display it on:
- a wall in your office
- your website
- a piece of equipment
Leaving space around the logo
You should leave space around our logo so it’s easy to read. The space must be at least half the height of the crossed fingers symbol in the logo.
At minimum size, this is 7mm in print or 20 pixels on screen.
Do not place text, images or other logos too close to it.
Do not change our logo
You must not change our logo. For example, you must not:
- stretch, rotate or distort it
- change the colours
- add effects like shadows or outlines
- add extra words like a description or tagline
- place it on a busy or low-contrast background
Minimum size requirements for our logo
To make sure our logo is clear you must use these minimum measurements.
Minimum size for our logo in English
- For print use at least 44mm wide by 14mm high
- For digital use at least 125 pixels wide by 40 pixels high
Minimum size including space around the logo:
- For print use at least 58mm wide by 28mm high
- For digital use at least 165 pixels wide by 80 pixels high
Minimum size for our logo in Welsh
- For print use at least 44mm wide by 24mm high
- For digital use at least 125 pixels wide by 68 pixels high
Minimum size including space around the logo:
- For print use at least 58mm wide by 38mm high
- For digital use at least 165 pixels wide by 108 pixels high
Minimum size for our logo in Gaelic
- For print use at least 61mm wide by 24mm high
- For digital use at least 230.5 pixels wide by 91 pixels high
Minimum size including space around the logo:
- For print use at least 78mm wide by 41mm high
- For digital use at least 295 pixels wide by 156 pixels high
Choosing the right file type for our logo
Using our logo on digital platforms
Use a PNG file type for the logo on digital platforms like:
- websites
- social media
- Word documents
- PowerPoint presentations
Using our logo for print
Use a JPG or PNG file type for printed documents like posters or leaflets.
Using our logo for professional design
Use the EPS vector file type if you’re working with a professional designer.
Using the correct logo colour
Use the full colour logo whenever you can. If the background makes it difficult to see the logo clearly you can use our:
- black logo on light backgrounds
- white logo on dark backgrounds
