Who cannot apply
You cannot apply for this funding if you are:
- a single organisation that is not part of a formal partnership
- an individual or sole trader
- a profit-making organisation that can share profits privately – for example, a company limited by shares or one without an asset lock
- based outside the UK
- applying on behalf of another organisation (unless they’re in a formal partnership with you)
- applying to more than one of our funds for the same project at the same time
You can still apply to another fund if you’ve had an unsuccessful decision from us.
If you’re a school or working with a school
Your project must benefit the wider community, not just teachers, pupils, or parents.
We do not usually fund school-based activities that:
- improve school facilities or equipment
- support staff training
- are part of the curriculum
- the school is expected to deliver anyway (such as teaching core subjects)
- take place during school hours (before or after school, or during lunch, may be OK)
If you're not sure if you can apply
