- A decision in: 26 weeks
- Programme status: Open to applications
Climate Action Fund – Our Shared Future is part of our commitment to help communities to be environmentally sustainable. We’re looking to fund bold partnership projects that involve more people in climate action and lead to lasting change. You must apply as a partnership. We do not fund applications from single organisations.
The deadline to apply is now 17 December 2025. We’ll only take forward the strongest applications because demand is high.
What we’re looking for
Your project should either:
- influence communities at a regional, national or UK level – by linking with bigger campaigns or projects that encourage people to take climate action, or by helping communities influence the decisions that affect them
- connect climate action to everyday life – using people’s daily activities or interests to help them take action and create long-lasting change
We want to fund projects that:
- have a clear and lasting impact
- can be scaled up or repeated elsewhere
- are delivered by diverse partnerships
- bring in new voices, especially from communities affected by poverty, discrimination and disadvantage
- connect climate action to everyday life and interests
- have strong plans to share learning and tell the story of their work
We’re interested in applications from projects that:
- work at a regional, national or UK-wide level
- are designed to run over a longer period, not just short-term
- take different approaches or focus on different communities across the UK
How much can you apply for
You can apply for a minimum of £500,000. Most projects we fund are between £1 million and £1.5 million and run for 3 to 5 years. If you want to apply for more funding over a longer period, you should give us more details in your application form.
