Introduction

This report explains how we met the Welsh language standards from September 2025 to September 2026.

We continued to meet the Welsh language standards in 2025 to 2026. The standards have applied to our organisation since 2017. They make sure Welsh and English are treated equally when we provide services in Wales.

Findings

In Wales, from June 2025 to May 2026 we:

  • awarded 1,034 grants

  • distributed more than £45 million through National Lottery and other funding

We published new and updated funding information for Wales in Welsh and English including:

  • guidance

  • application materials

  • website content

We provided customer services, events, and engagement activity in Welsh and English. Welsh-speaking colleagues supported this work. We also considered Welsh language needs in our:

  • policies

  • processes

  • operational planning

We continued to support bilingual working by using the Welsh language in:

  • internal resources

  • recruitment practices

  • staff development activity

Meeting the Welsh language standards helps us meet our legal responsibilities and provide a better service. It also helps:

  • ensure consistent and equitable access to funding and services for Welsh language users

  • support and promote the use of Welsh through funded activity and public-facing communications

  • improve our capability to provide services bilingually across Wales

  • support the wider use of Welsh in communities across Wales

There were no complaints relating to Welsh language services during this reporting period.
