Dormant Assets for All funding supports community organisations in Northern Ireland
26 November 2025
Thirty-five voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations in Northern Ireland have been awarded grants of up to £20,000 through the Dormant Assets for All programme.
Delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund using money from dormant bank accounts and financial products, this funding aims to help VCSE organisations become stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for future challenges.
The projects funded through this programme aim to build capacity and improve resilience through a range of ways:
- Developing digital skills and confidence
- Improving how impact is tracked and measured
- Strengthening financial management
- Enhancing governance and leadership
- Recruiting and managing volunteers
Building resilience in the third sector
The successful applicants so far come from a diverse range of organisations including an emergency response volunteer organisation in Derry/Londonderry, a community association in Randalstown and a mental health organisation based in Belfast.
Tackling Awareness of Mental Health Issues (TAMHI), which operates across Northern Ireland, received £20,000 to improve digital technology skills, including enhanced social media engagement and AI tools.
Joe Donnelly, CEO of TAMHI said the funding will give the charity the digital confidence and capability it urgently needs:
“With a stronger online presence, bespoke sport-specific content, better tools, and clearer strategy, we’ll be able to reach more young people, support more clubs, and build a more resilient organisation.”
