Who cannot apply
We cannot accept applications from:
- schools
- public bodies, such as councils, hospitals or government departments
- individuals or sole traders
- organisations based outside the UK
- companies that can pay profits to directors, shareholders or members (including companies limited by shares)
- organisations applying to another of our funds for the same project, at the same time
- organisations applying on behalf of someone else (unless you're applying together as a partnership)
- new partnerships where the organisations have not worked together on this type of work before
When we will not fund an organisation
We will not fund organisations that:
- are not led by, or accountable to, people with lived experience
- cannot show how their work has already contributed to changing the root causes of inequality
- have no clear plan to build on what they’ve already learned or achieved
- work alone rather than with others to create lasting impact
