What we’re hoping to fund
Working with people affected by poverty, disadvantage or discrimination
We want to fund organisations that support vulnerable or excluded communities. Tell us how your organisation works with these groups.
Involving the people you support in designing your work
We want to fund organisations that design their work with the people they support. We’ll want to see that you:
- involve them in how you develop, deliver and lead your organisation’s work
- make use of their skills and interests
- complement and connect with the existing services they use
Outcomes your work must meet
The work we fund must meet at least one of these outcomes:
Overcome challenges and plan for the future
For example:
- adapt your services when things change
- improve how you plan and manage staff or resources
- make your services or organisation more effective and efficient
- improve your processes or technology
Try out new ideas and ways of working
For example:
- pilot something that has worked elsewhere
- increase opportunities for people to have a say in your work
- test ways to help you reach different people
- connect with other organisations to share learning or resources
You can meet both outcomes, but it will not improve your chances of getting funding.
If you’ll be working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
You must have a policy in place that explains how they will be safe. If you get funding, you must follow our expectations on safeguarding children and adults at risk.
The SCVO website has advice and information on safeguarding.
