How to apply
Start by getting in touch
Contact us to discuss your idea. You do not need to prepare anything in advance. We’ll ask you about your project and help decide if this funding is right for you.

- calling 0300 123 7110 (lines open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday)
We’ll connect you with a funding officer in your area within 10 working days. If you’re eligible to apply for the funding, we'll send you a link to our online application form.
If you need communication support
If it's difficult or impossible for you to apply online, please let us know. We can offer other ways to apply, such as:
- an Easy Read version of the form and guidance
- a form that works offline
- another accessible format

What you’ll need to apply
You can see a full list of questions from the application form.
We’ll ask for:
- the legal name of your organisation
- its address
- the type of organisation it is
- any registration numbers (for example, charity or company numbers)
Please check these details carefully. Incorrect information will delay your application.
Information about your organisation’s finances
We’ll ask you to:
- upload your latest accounts
- upload 12-month projections if your organisation is less than 15 months old
- tell us your total income and expenditure for the year
Information about your team
You’ll need to give us the names, contact details, home addresses and dates of birth for 2 people in your organisation. They must:
- have separate email addresses
- live in the UK
- not be related
One should be the main contact who we can talk to about the project, and the other a senior person who’s legally responsible for the funding.
What we mean by related
We consider people to be related if they:
- are married or in a civil partnership
- are in a long-term relationship
- live together at the same address
- are related by blood
- are related through a long-term partner
Agreeing to our terms and conditions
You must read and agree to our terms and conditions before submitting your application.
After you apply
It usually takes around 12 weeks to get a decision. We’ll contact you to talk about your application. And to get more information if we need it. We'll review your application and carry out checks on the information you've provided. You can read more about what checks we carry out.
If your application is successful
We’ll email you to let you know. You’ll then need to:
- sign and return a funding agreement
- send a bank statement from the last 3 months
- have an induction call with a funding officer
Once that’s done, you can start your project. You must spend the funding as agreed in your application, unless we’ve agreed any changes in advance. We’ll check in with you from time to time. You can read more about managing your funding.
