Awards to organisations working across Northern Ireland

All About Birth CIC

All About Birth CIC is using a £19,400 grant over two years to provide doula support and antenatal workshops in community and women's centres reaching parents in Antrim, Down, Armagh and South Tyrone. The project will support expectant mothers by offering antenatal education and doula support in their own communities and bringing families together to learn new skills and increase their confidence.  

A Positive Life

A Positive Life, based in Belfast, is using a £19,769 grant over one year to run pop-up sexual health clinics across Northern Ireland. The project will increase testing opportunities ensuring earlier diagnosis and support and educate people on safer sex practices, leading to healthier physical lives and relationships, and improved knowledge about HIV. 

Bringing Hope

Bringing Hope is using a £19,610 grant over one year to provide food and essentials vouchers to support people living with cancer and their families. The project will reduce financial anxieties and improve wellbeing. 

Cause (NI) Limited

Cause NI Limited, based in Belfast, is using a £20,000 grant over one year to run a Carer Advocates Programme to support mental health carers across Northern Ireland. The project will use peer support groups, respite opportunities and one to one support to create a safe space where carers can connect and improve their wellbeing. 

Community Garden Support Ltd

Community Garden Support Ltd is using a £20,000 grant over two years to support community allotments and growing organisations in Belfast and Derry/Londonderry by organising regular meetings, skill sharing sessions and site visits to other allotments. The project will strengthen community growing networks by building new relationships, developing skills and sharing knowledge. 

Eczema Outreach Support 

Eczema Outreach Support is using a £19,882 grant over one year to run a support programme for families with eczema in Northern Ireland. The project will reduce isolation through peer-support, increase self-management skills, and improve confidence to access help. 

Go Kids Go! (Association of Wheelchair Children) 

Go Kids Go! (Association of Wheelchair Children) is using a £12,400 grant over 18 months, to run six wheelchair skills training workshops for children who use wheelchairs across Northern Ireland. The project will teach children to become independently mobile in their wheelchairs and less reliant on parents and carers for assistance in day-to-day life. 

Meningitis Now 

Meningitis Now is using a £10,200 grant over 10 months to deliver aftercare support to families in Northern Ireland affected by meningitis. The project will run a programme of activities including advice sessions, peer connection, crafts and workshops as well as one to one support to reduce isolation and help people to recover from the long-term effects of meningitis. 

NI Together CIC

NI Together CIC is using a £19,940 grant over 18 months to deliver training workshops for organisations to increase knowledge and cultural awareness of the challenges facing minority groups. 

Public Interest Litigation Support 

Public Interest Litigation Support, based in Belfast and working across Northern Ireland, is using an £18,035 grant over one year to deliver training and capacity building workshops around Human Rights for community and voluntary organisations in Northern Ireland. 

Redeeming Our Communities 

Redeeming our Communities is using a £19,977 grant over one year to bring community groups and statutory organisations together to discuss local challenges and better ways to work together. The project will work with groups in Ballybeen, Glengormley, Larne and Ballyclare to bring people together to build new collaborative relationships and increase confidence within their groups. 

Spinal Injuries Association 

The Spinal Injuries Association is using a £10,000 grant over one year to provide support services for people affected by spinal cord injury in Northern Ireland. The project will use individual and peer support to reduce isolation, increase confidence and empower them to manage their condition. 

The Lullaby Trust Limited 

The Lullaby Trust is using a £10,640 grant over one year to support families across Northern Ireland who have lost a baby to sudden and unexpected death in infancy and are expecting another baby. The project will provide families with extra resources including increased home visits, breathing equipment and sleep monitors to improve wellbeing and reduce anxiety. 

Ulster Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (USPCA) 

Ulster Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (USPCA), based in Newry, is using a £20,000 grant over one year to provide pet food parcels to households facing challenges during the cost of living crisis. The project will help people retain their pets in times of financial hardship, which reduces loneliness, offers stress relief and enables people to stay physically active. 

Woven Housing Association Limited 

Woven Housing Association Limited is using a £19,928 grant over two years to run summer activity programmes for children and adults in Dungannon, Strabane, Derry/Londonderry, Belfast, Lisburn and Newry. The project will bring people together to learn new skills and improve wellbeing.
