Projects that work across many regions
In April 2025, we updated Reaching Communities to better align with the priorities and ambitions set out in our Strategy.
Since then, we have found that:
projects working across the whole of England, or across multiple regions, no longer align well with our Reaching Communities priorities
there’s an increase in local demand, which is making funding increasingly competitive
To manage this, and make sure organisations do not spend time on applications that are unlikely to be successful, we have decided to:
stop accepting applications for national or multi-region projects from Monday 1 June 2026
only accept applications for projects in one region
If your work covers more than one region, pick the region that will be most suitable for your project.
Then, follow our guidance about making sure to submit one application per project.
Contact us if you need more help or information.
If you’ve already applied and are waiting on a decision
If you’ve already made an application in for a national or multi-region project, it will continue through the normal process. This change affects new applications.
