Findings

The research found that taking part in social action is linked to positive impacts for young people. Benefits were reported across personal development, wellbeing, and future pathways.

The research found that:

  • 73% of young people had increased agency or self-belief

  • 68% of young people had developed or widened their aspirations

  • 71% were confident they could bring about change in their community

Benefits were strongest where opportunities were high quality and sustained over time.
