Introduction
This research evaluates the Ageing Better programme. The programme aimed to reduce loneliness and social isolation among people aged 50 and over. It was carried out to understand what works and to inform future policy and practice. It’s intended for:

voluntary sector organisations
Findings
Participants were on average less socially isolated and lonely after taking part in Ageing Better activities. Regular social contact and tailored support were important.
Early lessons on partnership working found that Ageing Better is:
