Community organisations across Scotland supported by the Scottish Land Fund

This page lists community projects across Scotland funded by the Scottish Land Fund in July 2026. The funding supports communities to buy land or assets that deliver economic, social, or environmental opportunities for the wider community.

Bays of Harris Community Estate Limited

Bays of Harris Community Estate Limited received £1,082,680 in funding. The group will buy a 10,927 hectare crofting estate. Community ownership will aim to increase, sustain and regenerate a fragile and dispersed community. It will allow the community to manage the area and its development. This includes addressing long-standing issues of housing development and population retention.

Voe Community Development Association

Award £106,780

Voe Community Development Association received £106,780 in funding. The group will buy the B-listed Sail Loft in Lower Voe, Shetland. The group will use the building to provide a:

  • heritage centre

  • low-cost tourist accommodation

  • café

  • workshop space

Quarter Community Hub

Quarter Community Hub received £93,406 in funding. The group will buy the B-listed Quarter Parish Church and it's land from the Church of Scotland. The group will use it to develop a community hub in the village of Quarter, South Lanarkshire,

Loch Ewe Community Enterprise

Loch Ewe Community Enterprise received £345,663 in funding. The group will buy the Bac Dubh industrial site in Poolewe for a multi-use community business park. The group will use the site to transform a vacant industrial building to:

  • create affordable, flexible space for local businesses

  • support employment, resilience and long-term economic stability within the Loch Ewe area

North Sutherland Community Forest Trust

North Sutherland Community Forestry Trust received £109,745 in funding. The group will buy:

  • a log cabin in Borgie Forest

  • 0.8 hectares of the surrounding land

  • the foundations of another log cabin that they use

The group will use the site to extend their existing activities into a multifunctional community hub.

Morvern Community Woodlands

Morvern Community Woodlands received £459,650 in funding. The group will buy 94 hectares of land next to the village of Lochaline on the Morvern Peninsula. The group will develop:

  • woodland crofts

  • self-build plots

  • a community woodlot

  • a recreation space

They’ll also manage broadleaf and commercial forestry. The project will address:

  • population decline

  • housing need

  • nature restoration

  • access to land

And the project will provide economic and volunteering opportunities.
