The Schools Visiting Team of the Norwich Branch of the Normandy Veterans Association intend to commemorate the 60th Anniversary by taking 50 school pupils to a WW2 airfield by coach. The site WW2 planes and a museum. They students will experience fly-bys by various WW2 aircraft and will be told about the role of such airfields in WW2. At the end of the day there will be a memorial service with poppies dropped from a spitfire as it flies overhead and after this an opportunity to talk to veterans informally.
