The funding will enable Peterborough Council for Voluntary Services to continue the Covid-19 Response Group support they are providing to the most vulnerable within the community of Peterborough. PCVS a charitable company supports the voluntary community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) in Peterborough as a free membership organisation with around 500 members. This includes supporting the many small volunteer led groups representing minority groups that are found in Peterborough through to local branches of national charities. Offering members services which include support information advice and networking alongside practical help such as salaries year-end independent account examinations photocopying and meeting room hire.It also wants to use the funding to deliver a community support programme to support recovery and future sustainability. This will include forums responding to need the setting up of a Poverty Truth Commission (PTC) to address poverty at the grassroots communications development ensuring the sector�s voice is heard in the recovery of Peterborough and the delivery of a training programme focussed on recovery matchmaking (peer to peer support) finances (funding club) and working across disciplines (Faith/Health) / hybrid working.
