The funding will be used to provide personalized support mentoring sessions and workshops for children and young people in an area Nottingham who are at risk of gangs grooming drug and sexual exploitation occasioned by the level of deprivation of opportunities in the city. The project aims to enable the children and young people to develop coping strategies to manage strong negative feelings and improve their mental health while addressing the root cause of their feelings and also to create opportunities for marginalised and underprivileged children to engage with a positive role model; accessing support and guidance as they develop action plans for their future.
