The funding will be used to run a social supermarket where vulnerable people who are on a low income can do a weekly shop for a very small donation. The project aims to provide food and ensure that people who would otherwise be food-insecure or hungry have reliable access to good quantities of nutritious food. This will reduce food poverty and improve the physical and mental health of those people most affected by the current Covid-19 pandemic.
