This funding will help to transform a disused wilderness area into a permanent outdoor centre for multi-generational learning and activities providing a lasting legacy for the community. The project will renovate the site into a wildlife corridor as a resource to be used by school groups nature enthusiasts and for adult education purposes. It will also protect natural habitats and species which are currently under threat from discarded white goods and fly tipping whilst it remains undeveloped.
