The funding will be used to support people and services through the pandemic by employing a co-ordinator for 6 months to ensure that the food aid organisations in Plymouth work as a collaborative co-operative alliance to meet increased demand (estimated to at least double from 3300 people in June 2020 to a minimum of 6500 in December 2020) as a result of COVID. The funding will also cover additional infrastructure costs such as increased storage and ensuring that the volunteers and food are available to meet the increased demand.
