The funding will be used to support those diagnosed with Spina Bifida or Hydrocephalus due to late investigation accident or injury parents with unborn babies diagnosed in utero or new-born babies and the carers of those affected some of whom will be older carers of patients who have survived long term with their diagnosis whilst others may be young parents or partners and siblings. The funding will expand the project's mainly remote support offer by setting up and providing initial facilitation of four mini communities of peer support groups which will be user lead with oversight and support from the central organisation. Two larger groups will be set up in Leeds and Bradford as higher incidence areas and one group in Castleford and one in Harrogate as lower incidence areas.
