The project has developed a bespoke school-intervention programme that seeks to work with up to 700 girls aged 13-18. The project will work across 30 secondary schools in Birmingham targeting young girls. Through actively creating safe spaces for these girls the project aims to empower them by giving them information about sensitive socio-cultural issues (e.g. honour based violence forced marriage domestic violence and mental health issues). The funding will be used to offer tools such as group counselling mentoring low/high intensity social and emotional skills training.
