The partnership will help young people in Cumbria’s coastal communities to improve their emotional resilience, confidence and self esteem through support such as peer mentor training, one to one help and residential activities. It aims to prevent young people from needing mental health services by working with them early so they can cope better with emotional difficulties. Statutory and third sector agencies will work with young people on a joined up approach that will avoid duplication and identify gaps.
