This project supports women from black, minority and ethnic backgrounds from the St Peters neighbourhood in Tameside. Consultation identified that many of these women face barriers to engagement and feel isolated from their local community. The project will offer sensitive outreach work including physical activity classes, healthy eating workshops as well as training in English Language, IT and first aid. 200 women will benefit from these sessions and develop confidence to be more involved in the community.
