The five year Youth Empowerment Project is for 1,000 young people 8 to 25 in west Belfast who face barriers to education and employment. It supports the young people to improve their confidence and self-esteem, coping skills, and preparation for education, work or training. Young people sit on the organisation's management committee and consultation team and help decide on activities. The young people also coordinate community clean ups, painting and graffiti removal and peer mentoring.
