The grant will be used to develop the Foyle Haven Safe From Harm project, which if successful at stage two, would provide premises and support services for street drinkers and the homeless in a bid to improve their safety and well-being.The project would provide a safe place for drinkers to be, rather than on the streets, as well as laundry, shower and sleeping facilities. It would deliver programmes such as personal hygiene, anger management, healthy eating including nutrition and chronic alcohol abuse.
