The project in the Western Region of Kenya aims to improve the livelihoods of 5,000 impoverished farmers and their families (35,000 people), helping them overcome malnutrition and poverty. The farmers are mainly small-holders struggling to make the transition from basic food security to profitability. The project will train them in marketing, record keeping and small business management.
