Sheppey Matters aims to promote health and wellbeing while regenerating the local area, providing support to those who are lonely and isolated to a population based in Sheerness. The project aims to reduce social isolation and improve well-being for older people, assisting them to access local amenities, recreational or social activities. The project will also support people to live their own lives to the full and maintain their independence by accessing and receiving high quality support, as well as demonstrate improved wellbeing through engagement and participation. The funding will be used to cover salaries, including community coordinators and office support. It will also cover general running costs.
