Idle Hill Community Shop CIC will use funding towards the final costs of its extension project. The shop is built on village hall land and comprises of a shop offering provisions, a Post Office and small café which acts as a community hub for locals to meet. The shop is mainly run by volunteers, 40 of which are active each week. Many of these are retired villagers but other volunteers include students on Duke of Edinburgh Award Schemes.
