This project will support socially isolated people over 50 who are terminally ill. Volunteers will be trained by the hospice and matched with people taking into account preferences such as culture, background, gender and language. They will then visit them for one hour each week, building friendships and support networks and accompany them to the GP. The project aims to reduce the stigma around talking about death, dying, grief and loss.
