The project is using funding to set up two additional telephone helplines for beneficiaries and train staff and volunteers to take these calls. The new services would operate daily and on the evening and weekends providing advice and benefits service. The funding is also being used to also create leaflets on how to cook without a kitchen/cooker and about the new helplines. The projects helps reduce social isolation of people in Southwark Lewisham and Lambeth as well as providing appropriate advice to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
