Project overview

This group will use the funding to develop their project, which seeks to support community groups that have already been established to become fully-self-sustaining and community owned. The funding will be used to help the community establish new groups and activities that will improve their communities to lead healthier and active lives. Current groups include IT groups, friendship and bereavement cafes, arts and crafts groups, walking and swimming clubs, seated yoga, a community allotment and lunch clubs.
