Communicare in Southampton - Project

Project overview

This group will develop their project working with 210 local volunteers to enable older people residing in Southampton and surrounding areas to live independently for longer, enjoy improved quality of life and increase their engagement in the local community. The project creates a network by bringing older people and volunteers together to build a stronger community. A befriending scheme matches volunteers to vulnerable people, to offer regular support for them and their carers within their homes.
