Project overview

The group aims to alleviate food and fuel poverty, build people's confidence through volunteering and increase wildlife habitats. The project will develop five large unused/semi derelict green spaces in the city's high deprivation areas into 50 community allotments, allowing locals to grow their own produce and improve access to healthy food. They will also build a larger 'therapeutic' allotment to allow people with disabilities to get involved and benefit from allotment gardening.
