The group helps develop local facilities and runs a community building in the centre of Garvagh. The five-year Garvagh Forest and its People project is using the £369,765 grant to boost mental and physical wellbeing in the community using Garvagh Forest to connect people with each other and with their local environment. They are creating Forest Schools for children and adults; outdoor therapy with vulnerable groups such as mindfulness walking; and intergenerational community events.
A larger amount of funding (between £10,001 and £500,000) for projects working with your community – whether that’s a community living in the same area, or people with similar interests or life experiences.
