This group will use the funding to employ a Childcare Services Development Officer who will consult local parents by survey and focus group. They will research with NMC's playgroup leader to find out how childcare needs can be delivered to fill gaps in provision in the area. The group will then recruit two staff to run trial sessions for the proposals that emerge from the consultation. NMC want to undertake this action due to regular anecdotal feedback about lack of affordable childcare in the area.
