Project overview

The Bereavement Champion project is a partnership project between Cruse Bereavement Care and the ExtraCare Charitable Trust to improve bereavement support for older people, including those with dementia, in sheltered housing. The project will raise awareness of how bereavement affects older people's mental and physical health, improve access to support for bereaved older people in sheltered and retirement accommodation, and encourage self-help and peer support to reduce loneliness and social isolation.
